IATA Training and Development Institute shortened its name to IATA Training in 2016.
IATA Training is a not-for-profit aviation training institution specializing in air transport operations and business disciplines. As the training body within IATA (the International Air Transport Association), IATA Trainingâs services support aviation initiatives and priorities to improve international standards.
IATA Training operates training centers in 25+ countries â" Switzerland, Canada, United States, Singapore, China, India, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and the UK â" and coordinates a network of more than 450 training partners worldwide. Training is provided as in-class, distance learning or in-company courses.
Under the leadership of Guido Gianasso between 2003 and 2013, ITDI finalised a number of academic partnerships including Nanyang Technological University and Stanford University in 2010 as well as the University of Geneva in 2011.
Founded in 1990, IATA Training employs 40 full-time staff and 300 part-time instructors, training more than 100,000 students annually.
